Blogged
Well after some frustrating moments with BLOGGER and GOOGLE (yes i'm looking at you both), I am finally able to log in, and due to the so useful policy of not being able to paste onto my create a post section (stupid rule) I am unable to share my despair and rant with blogdom, and those who most need to hear it surprise sur- f_cking-prise. Typical of big companies.
Actually, is there a way to paste onto here? Anyone know how? Let's experiment: Nope didn't work. Damn.
Anyway, just a quick update for all you multitudes of raving fans, the whole 3 or maybe 4 of you who wait with baited breath for the next fascinating instalment. Yeah, I do this for my fans. Don't you feel special?
I was able to get into an art class, ceramics specifically, which is great, it is basic, but that was all i wanted, some facilities to fire and glaze, some special time set aside for creativity, for me. And I've got it. It has prompted me to start doing it a it more at home, for the first time in 5 years, which is good. Probably why I haven't been on the net much lately. I have made 5 things maybe already, have many more in the pipeline, gotton ideas for more exhibitions, but first I have to get my skills back up to scratch and then experiemnt, extend myself and stretch the limits, I think I am still playing it safe atm, remembering what i did and how i did it. But it is fun to play in mud again, get my hands dirty, have the feeling of the clay on my hands, and then how it dries and cracks and flakes off. The skin feels so good after. The teacher is a family friend, he knows me, and he lets me do what i want. I have tried to let on I'm actually esperienced at the whole business, but some people will ask questions. I have mainly been able to saty out of the way though. I wish we didn't have to wear name tags. People can come up to me and talk to me by name, Pfft. And i havne't even bothered to look at theirs so i have no idea what their name is and I really don't want to know but then they went and used my name again. Damn. I prefer anonimity. (what, you hadn't noticed?)
I just finished the book Ender's Game last night, by Orson Scott Card. I quite liked it, didn't take me long to read. I didn't like the whole having to go through the boys at school bullying thing, but it was all worth it at the middle to end, and then the bombshell at the end oh my goodness. I hope the next one is as good. I started it this morning but it hasn't captured me completely yet.
Pangur just came in from outside, meowing at me to say hello I am back. I pick her up and ruffle up her fur and she complains and jumps down again, leaving me with a faceful of fur. ah yes, it is getting warmer now, hence we are moulting. I had forgotten the joys of living with a moulting cat. We are hitting temps of the late 20's celcius, and we are still officially in winter for another week. Lovely. Who said global warming is a myth? Bastards. We are fucking with the only home we've and all the other animals and plants have got, it is not even ours and the majority of humans don't care, or at least those with money and power don't and we are going to destroy ourselves and the planet. Stupid. Endless human stupidity. To quote a movie i saw during the week. (quiz: which movie? hint below)
No i am definately in a cynical mood, am i not today my lovelies?
What else...? Ummmm.
I've had the flu this week, not been happy. Glands are still up, couging, nose still snotty and peeling, my appetite is not what it was. i feel sick when i eat, but feel faint when i don't eat. No win situation. Maybe i'll lose some weight this way.
Then 3 weeks ago i had another health issue, a very nasty UTI, including pus and blood (oh lovely you all say. I can say it was very definately NOT lovely, and I was very unhappy.) But that is now cleared up.
During the past week i watched some DVD's i got out: Saw, Mr and Mrs Smith, Valient, the Cube, and Alexander.
I got really pissed off earlier. I don't know if people know but brisbane is having serious water issues. Major drought, and level 3 water restrictions. which means at the moment no hosing what so ever, no sprinkling, nothing. Major government battles about water grids and new dams, and recycling water and stuff. One city to the west of here voted no to drinking recycled water. a) i can't believe the ignorance of people, we need more water, recycling is a good way to do it, we recycle other things, why not water and do they offer any other solutions? we don't have any water, but we are not going to recycle water either. Endless human stupidity (twice in one day) , and b), i don't know why they were givena choice. If we get into a situation where we literally don't have any more water, then recycling will have to come in. Survival people. No choice about it. You drink recycled water or you go thirsty. Tough. Don't give choices to the stupid masses. The government should have just brough it in quietly, just use it for industry first, then go from there. I think they are considering using 'grey water' for industry water. but i am not sure on when and where. But anyway the point was I witnessed a neighbour hosing his pavers next to his pool this morning. I couldn't believe it. I tried to see exactly what he was doing, but obviousely it was sooooo important to go against the current rules put into place for our own and our futures benefit. I was so angry. But i was too scared to say somethng, as he seem's a mean bugger, yells at his children all the time, and walks around in a scowl. And he would have said it's none of my business, and i would have said something about how it's illegal to use your hose because of the drought and its for the benefit of our future or something lame like that. I never have a comeback when i need one, i can only wait and simmer away and then rant in my blog. Bastard water waster. But also, how can i talk? I am also guilty.I still have long showers. Those without sin throw the first stone... (goes and cries in the corner). So i kept quiet. Even when he turned his tap on again, to hose a bit more of his patio. And after he saw that i was watching him. Oh and how brilliant is this, on Friday, in Brisbane, there were 5, yes five burst water mains, gushing countless megalitres of a precious resource onto the roads and into the pipes to the sea. Fucking hilarious.
Anyway, i want to go now, and do some art, or reading. I am always on the net for so long when i do come on. Have a good day.

Actually i wait fr your posts with bated breath.
I read this latest post earlier this week, and i thought i better come back and tell you that i did read it seeing none of your other raving fans have commented.
The bit about name tags ... i hate them too! I particularly hate it when i've been to some event where they slap one of those sticky ones on you, and then later on after the event you are back out in the general public when you suddenly realise you are still wearing your name tag.
aaaghhh
I always copy and paste... Never a problem for me. I couldn't survive without the old Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V. I even used them just then to save me typing Ctrl twice. And look! I did it a third time.
Ahem.
Yes.
Carry on.
Oh- except never paste from Word as it messes up the formatting for the feed. I was told off recently for that.
Paste into notepad, as that removes all your formatting. Then copy and paste that into blogger.
Safest way.
Or, even better, use notepad instead of Word.
_Not_ using Word is easy. It is _knowing_ not to use Word that is the hard part.
Wowwwww, pasting. Opportunities abound. Note to self-Use ctrl; Just don't use word. Ok.
Thanks bob, and indy.
